The First Few Minutes Matter Most
In a cardiac arrest, the brain begins to suffer permanent damage within four to six minutes without oxygen. The survival rate doubles when bystander CPR begins within the first minute. The first aider – whether trained nurse, healthcare assistant, or care worker – is often the most important person in the first few minutes of a medical emergency.
For first-timers: emergencies are frightening, especially when you are new. This course will not make emergencies comfortable, but it will make you capable. Knowing what to do – even imperfectly – is infinitely better than freezing.
For refreshers: CPR skills decay rapidly without practice. Studies show that the quality of CPR compressions deteriorates significantly within three months of training. This course refreshes the knowledge. Your hands need the mannequin
THIS COURSE PROVIDES KNOWLEDGE ONLY.
