Safe Guarding Children and Adults

Introduction

Aims

The aims of this training are to provide awareness training for care workers regarding safeguarding.

This training will take approximately 3.5 hours to complete and there is a multiple-choice assessment at the end of the training consisting of 30 questions. You will need to achieve 70% to pass.

Objectives

By the end of this session you will:

• Recognise the principles of safeguarding adults
• Describe the signs of abuse
• Determine how to respond to suspected or alleged abuse
• Identify the national and local context of safeguarding and protection from abuse
• Outline ways to reduce the likelihood of abuse
• Review how to  recognise and report unsafe practices
• Explain principles for online safety
